  • Properties :

    Honey is sweet and astringent. It is heavy, dry and cold. Its effect on doshas is:  aggravates vata, scrapes kapha and normalizes pitta and rakta.

    Benefits of Honey

    Honey is called as “Yogavahi” in Ayurveda . A substance which has a quality of  penetrating the deepest tissue is called Yogavahi. Hence it acts as a natural detox; it  helps to flush the toxins out of your body from very depth.
    It helps normalize digestion and cleanses the digestive tract by removing toxin deposits. When mixed with water, honey rejuvenating colon’s, flora and removes bacteria.
    Weight Loss: 
    Drinking honey mixed with water can help you lose weight if taken in the morning on an empty stomach. This will help increase metabolic rate. Drinking Honey water  before meal will make you feel full hence reduce food intake.
    Immune System:
    Regular use of honey strengthens the white blood cells fight viral and bacterial diseases. It also reduces risk to environmental allergies.
